Xiamen New Railway Station is an important passenger depot in the “four vertical and four horizontal” system of the national railway network. Xiamen's new station planned to complete in 2030 will be making 11 million passenger trips. The station will cover an area span of about 50,000 square meters. It will be divided into a three floor plaza with passengers entering at the top floor, the middle floor will be the exit terminal and the first floor will be a lobby.  The station will facilities at railway stations to be built by a one-off design with 14 stock roads and 6 platforms.  

Xiamen station as an integrated southeast coast of the largest transport hub will be built there is ample room for transfer to achieve "zero distance transfer."Started the morning in Xiamen (new) Station Area development and construction engineering, planning range from east to Tianmashan Road, Jimei North Avenue south to plan for the sector, Jimei Avenue west to the planning extensions to the North Station North Wu Lu to plan for the sector. Total land size of 551.36 hectares. According to preliminary estimates, Xiamen (new) station hub and Area construction of the infrastructure supporting a total investment will be more than 10 billion yuan.
